Frequently Asked Questions - Adobe Photoshop Paths

Selected Paths have straight lines appearing....

Photoshop paths can only be made a SELECTION when they were a created as a closed path in Illustrator.... and therefore they are a closed Photoshop path. For example: coastlines, individual state or country borders - these would be closed paths. IF the path is 'open ended', rivers, International borders, etc, then a straight line will be made to 'join up' the two end points if one tries to make these paths a selection. Instead of using SELECTION, the user needs to STROKE these paths to achieve a suitable result (Stroke set to whatever you choose...)
